Chubby Snowman Card and Lovable Animals Valentine's Card




Happy watercolor weekend! For my first card, I stitched a snowflake while visiting my family during Christmas. When I got home, I decided I needed a cute little snowman and some smaller snowflakes to complement it. The Chubby Snowman Set (5351) and the Snowflake Frame Set (5782) were perfect choices.

I painted the snowman using Tombow markers in the following colors: 312, 565, 969, 879, 977, 850, 025, 526, 933, 856, N55, and N75. I selected the Winter Woodland collection for the paper used inside and outside the card. I die-cut the snowflakes from silver foil and blue paper.

I included sentiments from the Christmas Sentiments Set (5566) inside the card. To add more detail, I incorporated additional snowflakes and a decorative edge to the Winter Woodland paper pack. For the final touch, I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White to add highlights to the snowman.

For my second card, I wanted to create a cute animal-themed Valentine's card. The Lovable Animals stamp set with dies was perfect for this project!

To start, I stamped the animals using permanent ink and then painted them with the following Tombow markers: 850, 856, 933, 025, 526, N55, N65, N75, 772, 977, 992, and 177. After that, I cut out all the elements and sponged around the edges of the large hearts and bow with a red stamp pad. I then glued the die cuts to the front of the card, using pink gingham paper from the Valentine’s paper pack (5741).

To create the popup heart inside the card, I cut a piece of matching beige cardstock measuring 3/4" wide by 3" long. I scored the paper at 1 1/2" in the center and scored each end at 1/4". After folding along all the scored lines, I glued the flaps inside the card—one at the top and one at the bottom. You can attach anything you’d like to make pop up; I, of course, used a large red heart for my card. I added a few extra details inside, and my card was finished.

Hello Ai fans!  This Christmas card is one that I absolutely enjoyed creating.  I love all things vintage and Christmas is no exception.  I love the colors of Christmas in the 1950’s.  The pink, teal, red and green with some glitter added is my favorite.  For this card I started with stamping the Snowman Scenic Foundations #5818 with the 565 blue and 969 brown Tombow markers.  I stamped off twice.  I used the following markers to paint the image.  Blue 565, Brown 969, Red 856, Bluish Green 312, Pink 761, Pink 817, Green 158, Green 296, Gray N65, Gray N45, and Gray 25.  After I had done all of my painting I added some rainbow sparkle glitter to Nuvo Crystal Drops in clear to paint glitter onto the top of the door, the window shutters, the windows on the top floor and the lamp posts.  This was an easy way to add the glitter without it falling off and to give a light shimmer.  When I added Dr. Ph. Barn with Sheep and Easter Chicks Cards

  Good morning! I love my turn for Watercolor Weekend.  _____________________ My first card features an old barn with sheep grazing in the pasture below. I began by stamping the barn using Tombow markers 565 and 969, stamping off twice. Next, I determined the placement of the fences and where the sheep would graze. I stamped the sheep with the Archival Shadow Grey ink pad to preserve the details in the stamps. I added color and texture with the flowers and rocks included in the Fear Not stamp set. Lastly, I hand-drew the mountains in the background. For the final touch, I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White to add some small flowers and highlights. French Door and Big Birthday Wishes

  Hi Watercolor Friends!  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  I am loving this spring weather.  It makes me dream of going to Paris, France.  I love the vintage French doors.  Those doors are what inspired my first card.  I enjoyed figuring out my layout.  There was a lot of masking done using Post-it Tape and Post-it Notes.  I stamped the bicycle first and then the blue door.  I used Tombow 403 to paint the door.  It's my new favorite color!  Next I stamped the pot with Tombow 565 and 969 stamping off twice first.  I did all of the stamping for this card using this method.  Next I added the wall texture and the cobblestones.  After I had painted all of the foliage and flowers I added in a quiet, gray kitten using the WC Mini Critter Set 5016.  For the decorative element on the door windows I used a stamp from set 5123 WC Decorative Jar set.  I have to be honest, I thought this was pretty clever!...
